3 Great Resources for Dog Owners

Published by positiveminded1977 at 1:48 am under Dog Resources Edit This

My browsing activities revealed some excellent sites for dog owners who always have plenty of questions about dog breeds, dog health issues, dog care, dog behavioral training, dog agility, dog food, and so on. I hope you find these 3 sites useful.

1. Best Friends Animal Society (http://www.bestfriends.org/)

Best Friends Animal Society wants to build a better world by being kind to animals. Accordingly, they find good homes for homeless animals, check pet population by implementing spaying/neutering programs, provide shelter to unwanted animals, raise awareness about numerous animal issues, and have an excellent networking system.

Best Friends Magazine enjoys wide readership, and you can find loads of information about dogs at the following link.

2. Dog Owner’s Guide (DOG)

The DOG website belongs to Canis Major, an Ohio-based publication that began publishing Dog Owner’s Guide, a newspaper for dog enthusiasts, which later won 4 Maxwell Awards for being the best canine newspaper in the US. They started the website much later, and ever since, the website has had millions of visitors.

This website is a great place for anybody who is associated with dogs. You will find tons of articles and features on training tips, dog health information, breeds, dog laws, and so on. In addition, you can see a list of dog books that you might want to purchase.

3. American Kennel Club (http://www.akc.org/)

All dog lovers know this name. American Kennel Club has won innumerable awards and done loads of work such as raising public awareness about pet issues, raising funds for animal rescue organizations, providing information, and other services ever since its inception in September 17, 1884. In addition, it presents the prestigious Breeder of the Year award to dog owners who have worked hard to enhance the life quality of purebred dogs.

Of course, there are loads of resources out there, but these 3 will do to start with. You will find answers to every single dog question you might have at one of these sites. I feel that, as far as tips are concerned, the first resource mentioned is the best.
